Anita Barton-Williams is a writer, translator and researcher working across Caribbean literature, translation studies and multilingual cultural practice.
She is currently completing a PhD in Modern & Applied Languages (French) at the University of Westminster, with research focused on translation, Caribbean literature and the circulation of Black writing across languages.
Her work explores literary translation, cultural criticism and Black literary infrastructures. She is the founder of BLKTRNET, a professional network supporting Black translators through community-building, visibility and knowledge exchange, and previously founded Heaux Noire, a community performance platform centring Black and Brown women’s voices.
